I am the same as you, I exercise my way through :-) It makes me feel so much better and helps me to forgive myself if I overindulge. I still try to eat everything in moderation, but we all know how we can slip up at times surrounded by so much temptation! That's why running definitely makes things so much better! While burning off the extra say 1,000 calories isn't realistic, just knowing you made some difference is comforting. Plus you just feel better throughout the day, and why would you not want that? I plan on running in my town's Turkey Trot. It is only a 5k but I just love the atmosphere of this race.
