Bridal Shower Madness & Foxy Mama's Hats

Oooooooooooo what a day!  Today, I had my first (of two) bridal showers, which was really more of a "working" ladies luncheon than an actual shower.

All my aunts (except 1) from my dad's side attended, as well as my mom, Meghann, my cousins, and my future mother-in-law.

My aunts rented a recreation room at the community center and put together a fabulous spread of food!

(The huge dish on the left was eventually filled with salad drizzled in homemade citrus dressing).

I had a few appetizers....

And a lovely lunch, including grilled chicken salad, two mini breadsticks, pasta salad, and a pesto cracker.

And two mini cupcakes for dessert.

After eating, we decided to play some bridal shower games.  I specifically requested we do TOILET PAPER BRIDAL GOWNS!

I volunteered to be the model for Team 1.

And Meghann was the model for Team 2.

Our toilet paper dresses both ended up looking VERY fabulous!

That's couture!

Next, we set to work putting together the favors, welcome bags, and programs....

Then, we all trooped over to Foxy Mama Boutique to buy hats for the wedding.  English women LOVE to wear hats, and my American relatives figures this is their ONE chance to wear formal hats.

Foxy Mama's was AWESOME! If you're ever in Orlando and need a sweet hat, give them a call!

(She didn't buy this one, but ALL my relatives bought one.)

I'll probably wear my hat during the reception and for some post-ceremony pictures. :)  I'm pretty excited to have a wedding hat now.  It's such a fun aspect of British culture!

I came home from our very fun day and snacked on a plum.....

Now, we're headed out to dinner. See you later :)
