BBQ on the Brain and MORE Wedding Details

Hello, my name is Caitlin, and I'm a BBQ addict.

It feels so wrong, but it tastes so right!  For lunch,I made a yummy BBQ Chicken wrap, which contained:

  • 1.5 oz. leftover BBQ chicken
  • 1 tablespoon of Anne's BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 baked sweet potato
  • 1/4 cup sweet corn
  • a little bit of spinach

I used to think you had to cook a sweet potato in the oven and putting it in the microwave it would make it taste funny--but microwaving it 6 minutes results in the perfect baked sweet potato!  Just be sure to stab it a few times with a fork and wrap in a paper towel first.

This combination of flavors was INSANELY delicious!  Oh, I also had some grapes...

And at some point, this Zbar found it's way into my mouth. Spooky Smores was very yummy.... tastes like a nice dessert!

I spent ALL more addressing wedding invitations.  Every time I finished an invite and added it to this big old stack, I felt pretty accomplished!

Whew! It was quite a chore, but it's all done now, and I can't wait to start receiving RSVP cards in the mail (or... waiting 6 weeks and then stalking each of my guests and asking them where the heck the RSVP card is). :)

Check out those international stamps! I hope ALL of Future Husband's family can come from England!

Even MORE Wedding Details:  Cake Topper!

I finally bite the bullet and purchased a cake topper this morning.  The cake topper was a HUGE point of contention in my mind, as I wanted something cute and not too trendy or plain.  I've been looking for a cake topper for WEEKS!

This morning, I asked Future Husband if he wanted our monogram or "little people," and he replied "LITTLE PEOPLE, of course!"  So--little people it is!

The inscription reads, "Love bears all things, believes all thing, hopes all things, endures all things.... Love never ends."

This cake topper isn't everyone's style, but I really like it.  I purchased it online and can't wait to see it in person. I plan to paint the bride's hair brown. :)  Future Husband is a bit of a redhead, so it works out perfectly!

An online shopping tip:  If you have the option to insert a promotion code for a discount, do a Google search for "Coupon Code" + the name of the website.   You can usually find the secret code and get at least 10% off!

Time for a run!
